Drone crash. Hvitserkur, Iceland
This drama occurred during our trip to Iceland on February 2018. We filmed one of Iceland's natural wonders Hvitserkur, using our drone DJI Mavic Pro. Suddenly a strong gust of wind came and took our drone far into the sea. His battery was running low already. It became clear to us that we can't return it to the take-off point. I decided to not struggle with a strong headwind and turned the drone in the direction of the shortest path to the shore. The battery ran out and the drone landed in emergency mode about a kilometer from us. We found him lying in the snow safe and sound, but the whole thing cost a lot of nerves! Это произошло, когда батарея уже была на исходе. Единственно правильным решением было не дать дрону упасть в море. Батарея кончилась и коптер сел в аварийном режиме в километре от нас.
