Clinical Trials: What's on the Horizon? • Dr. Grewal • 2026 NCF Patient Conference in Atlanta

In this video, Dr. Grewal discusses current and upcoming clinical trials for Neuroendocrine Cancer (both Neuroendocrine Tumors and Neuroendocrine Carcinomas) and explains how research is helping shape the future of neuroendocrine cancer treatment. The talk highlights why clinical trials are important for developing new therapies and expanding treatment options for patients. Dr. Grewal also introduces the “NET wheel,” a helpful tool for understanding the different approaches to neuroendocrine cancer care, including surgery, targeted therapies, PRRT, and clinical trials. Topics include: • Why clinical trials matter in neuroendocrine cancer care • Current and future treatment options for neuroendocrine tumors • Oral somatostatin analogs for carcinoid syndrome • Targeted chemotherapy trials • PRRT and alpha PRRT • CAR-T cell therapy and new treatment targets • Improving access to clinical trials and newer therapies Featured trials and therapies discussed include CareFinder, Brave SST-2, Action One, CDH17-targeted CAR-T cell therapy, and DLL3-targeted therapy for neuroendocrine carcinomas. _____________________________________________________________ ABOUT Neuroendocrine Cancer Patient Education Conference Atlanta, GA May 16, 2026 The Neuroendocrine Cancer Foundation (NCF) hosted a free, in-person educational conference at the Emory Winship Cancer Institute designed specifically for people living with neuroendocrine cancer and their caregivers. This one-day program brought together leading experts from Emory University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Vanderbilt University to share practical, up-to-date information on the diagnosis and management of neuroendocrine cancer. Local and regional neuroendocrine cancer specialists presented the latest insights in neuroendocrine cancer care, including multidisciplinary approaches to surgery; advances in liver-directed therapy, systemic treatments, PRRT, and clinical trials; and emerging research on GLP-1 agents and neuroendocrine tumors. In addition to expert-led presentations, attendees heard patient stories and had the opportunity to engage directly with specialists during live Q&A sessions. The interactive format helped empower patients and caregivers with knowledge, confidence, and a clearer understanding of available treatment options and care pathways. Special thanks to Dr. Udhayvir Grewal for collaborating with NCF to make this event possible. For more information, visit https://www.ncf.net/events/atlanta.
